There has been a lot of talk about Alan Pardew wanting to keep Andy Carroll at Newcastle. My own thought is that it is only to increase the player’s value. I can’t see Carroll staying beyond the end of this month. His so called injury has taken far too long to heal, for what was originally calimed to be a knock. I won’t be surprised if Mike Ashley takes the £30 million for a guy, who cost him absolutly nothing. No businessman would turn down that kind of deal. After all, Ashley is not a sports enthusiast, he is a businessman.
Newcastle came back from 1-0 down to beat West Ham 2-1 at Upton Park. The result sends the toon up to 9th in the premiership table.
Coloccini scored in the dying seconds of the match to avoid the blushes of the toon, in a game in which the ex-newcastle player Charles Nzogbia scored twice in two minutes in the first half. This was a game that Newcastle had surely expected to win at home. In the end, given the circumstances, the draw felt like a fantastic win
Saturday at 3pm, the geordies will be at Goodison Park to try and get their second win of the season. Currently only 4 points from 4 games is a relegation form, which needs to be addressed as soon as possible!!
